A Quarter of a Century...

Well, it's official. I am 25 years old! I am excited for this new year and for all that the Lord has planned. As most people know, birthdays arent exactly my favorite thing. I had a really bad birthday a couple years ago, and ever since then... I just get nervous about them. All of my birthdays since then have been wonderful, but I still get a little twitch when July 18th comes around. So weird, right?
This year I was so blessed. It was a very special birthday. I got to spend the morning with my handsome husband and my adorable baby. Scott got me breakfast burritos from my favorite little local Mexican place, and we played on the floor with Ady. We were dog-sitting over the weekend, so I also got to spend the weekend with Charlie and his best friend Sammy. Izzy even dressed up for me; he wore a lovely pink bow-tie. So precious! Later that morning, I was upstairs getting ready, when Scott told me that my "birthday suprise" was here. My parents drove all the way down to our house to see me! They bought me a gorgeous apple tree and a lilac bush for my birthday, and my dad even helped plant them. Mom made me a huge carrot cake (seriously- tripple layers with about 20 lbs of frosting). Delicious! We had such a nice visit! It was such a blessing for them to come down. Thanks, Mom and Dad! What a suprise!
Here are some pictures from this fun day:

Scott took me and Ady out to dinner that night at our favorite restaurant called Salsa Brava. It was delicious! Maybe birthdays arent so bad afterall... :)

The Lord is good to me, and so I thank the Lord for giving me the things I need...

Adyson is getting more and more mobile as the days go by. She has just started doing an "Army Crawl" to go forward, and it is so cute! I want to give her a little toy rifle and fatigues. She also started sitting up by herself in her crib or on the floor. She is such a big girl!
Here is a video of her crawling. She can crawl for a longer distance normally, but she was being camera shy.
Have a great weekend!
