some new adventures

Well, it's been a while since I wrote a blog-again! It never ceases to amaze me how quickly time passes by. My dad always told me growing up that "time passes fast when your having fun". I must be having a lot of fun, then!

To start this blog off I must announce that our precious Adyson is officially 6 months old! Woo Hoo! She is getting so big. I think she is right around 17 lbs or so. We'll find out her official baby stats on Friday at her six month check up. She can roll from her tummy to her back and her back to her tummy. She also likes to giggle at Charlie, songs, and her daddy. I think her favorite "person" in the house is Izzy right now; she seems to be quite taken with him. She squeals at him constantly, and the funny thing is that he lets her pet him and puts up with her pulling his hair out. She has been eating real food for a couple weeks, and we are now moving from just orange veggies to green ones. As of this morning she has tried and loved: carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, and peas. I was shocked that she didnt even make a face at the peas this morning. She seems to love all veggies just like me and her grandpa sapp. Here is a picture of her from this morning. She is so much fun!

The next portion of this blog I would like to title, "In Loving Memory". In fact, I will make it official:

In Loving Memory:
A Memorium of Charlie's Man-Dog-Hood

On March 5, 2009 at 8:30 in the morning, Charlie Xavier McGillicuddy Willcutts (the first) was seen entering Faithful Friends Veterinary office. It was a sad day for all the girl goldens in the neighborhood. Their hope of finding a true mate in this prime pup was quickly cut off this morning (definately a pun intented:) ). Charlie woke up that morning a wild and free pup, ready to conquer the world... or at least sniff out, pee on, and befriend it. Now he will just have to do so with a little less wild ambition. Such is the road most domesticated pups must take. It's may not be quite as wild, but it is none-the-less the much prefered road by his owners. We will never forget his wild man-dog-hood. It was short-lived but great. He even ended it with a spark: He peed all over the vet's floor where another dog had just been. *sigh*

Hehe... Charlie is doing very well and recovering nicely. He has a silly cone on his neck to keep him from licking any stitches. He is so funny in it, that I just had to post a picture. It should be just about a week until he can go back to the dog park or play with his best buddy, Sammy- the beagle. HANG IN THERE, Charlie!

Other news from "the other Willcutts'" home: Scott is just finishing up the last of his trips for busy season. He has one short trip to Tennessee next week, and then one last trip to Estes Park. (Adyson, Charlie, and I should all get to with him on this trip! YEA!). Sadly, we are both sick with head colds; Adyson is teething; Charlie is recovering from surgery; and Izzy, well, Izzy is just plain grumpy. We are praying to all get better soon!

On a final note. A very sad and depressing note. Seriously, imagine the most ugly and depressing sound on the piano, then magnify it by putting a rock concert volume on it. *sigh* Can you hear it? Well... I got a speeding ticket. Let it just ring loud and clear.... I got a speeding ticket. WOW... I am still shocked. I know it was totally deserved, but it was terrible timing. I was having a really bad morning that morning, and sure enough the cherry on top was getting pulled over in a construction zone going 10 over. Keep in mind that I also didnt have my insurance card either. I have only had one speeding ticket, and it was over 6 years ago in Wyoming! Oh well, this things happen. I will settle it in court the end of this month.

Well, that is about all I have time to report now.

Lots of love,

Karen Ruth
